A few weeks ago I ordered a new all white dish set from Macy's and I love it! I have been wanting one for a while now...they are great for every day use and I am also excited to incorporate them into more formal holiday table settings.
I wanted to use my new tableware set right after I opened it, but wasn't prepared with any particular table decor ideas...so I started searching my house for the needed supplies. I decided to put together a simple table setting that could be used as everyday decor or just for a nice casual dinner with family and friends. (& if my toddler hadn't recently discovered his love for climbing on the table I really would have used it as a daily decorative table setting :)

The Details
Here is a list of decor items I used for this table setting...
1) A burlap table runner - previously purchased on sale at a fabric store. I cut it about 18" in width and then ironed it so it would lay nicely on the table (Yes! you can iron burlap!)
2) Centerpiece - Basic white dinner tray filled with my personal collection of organic decorative texture balls. I also added a couple of thrifted lanterns to each side of the tray.
3) Napkins & Glasses - I used a basic cream colored napkin with a twine bow tied around the silverware. The glasses are just your average glass canning jars...If you like this look I would highly recommend purchasing a set (for around $10) at Wal-mart.
