During my trip home to WA (just a week or so ago) my Mom kept raving about this cinnamon bear popcorn she had tried at my aunts house during spring break. I was a little skeptical about it but after she made up a batch I realized she was right (why are Mom's always right?)
I'm pretty sure I became addicted to it, because every time I walked past the kitchen, I couldn't help but take another heaping handful of the popcorn. I was glad there were a lot of people around who shared my same addiction...otherwise I may have devoured the whole bowl all by myself.

Cinnamon Bear Popcorn
Ingredients
6 quarts popcorn (popped)
3 cups mini marshmallows
2 cups cinnamon bears (can find in bulk at Winco)
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup light karo syrup
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 drops red food coloring
(optional - 2 cups chopped walnuts)
Step 1. Unwrap cinnamon bears and cut each bear into 3 pieces with kitchen scissors or a knife.
Step 2. Pop your popcorn (in a microwave or popcorn popper) and place in a LARGE bowl.
Step 3. Make the topping by placing the butter and karo syrup in a pan over medium-high heat
Step 4, Then add in the sugar and stir occasionally, until butter
has completely melted and syrup begins to bubble slightly.
Turn the heat down to medium and continue stirring over a slow boil for 5 minutes.
Step 5. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and red food coloring to syrup, mix well.
(The red food coloring just gives the syrup a pretty pink hue!)
Step 6. While the syrup slightly cools, add the cut bears and marshmallows to the popcorn bowl. (You can add the optional 2 cups of chopped walnuts here if you choose).
Step 7. Pour warm syrup over the popcorn mixture and stir to coat.
Step 8. Enjoy! You may have to hide the bowl from yourself
after you have had your fare share...because it is addicting!
